It is with great pleasure that we can announce the awards of Full Academic Scholarships to Tudor Hall for September 2021 to Tilly and Serafina.
The children performed exceptionally well in their entrance assessments and they very much impressed during their scholarship interviews, discussing current affairs and topical issues with great maturity and interest.
During her interview, Serafina presented about Annie Easley- thinking carefully about her achievements and why she is so inspirational to her. Tilly chose to hold a ‘hypothetical’ dinner party and carefully considered reasons inviting her chosen famous guests. Both presentations showed a knowledge and depth of understanding beyond their years and clearly demonstrated the girls’ interests.
In the classroom, both Serafina and Tilly have consistently shown a drive and commitment to their academic subjects.
Their Form Teacher Miss White commented that the girls “thrive on asking and answering in-depth questions, showing resilience, resourcefulness and a determination to succeed. They show interest beyond the curriculum, making the most of every opportunity to learn”.
The girls are really looking forward to the opportunity to take part in the ‘Aim Higher’ programme at Tudor Hall and will continue broadening their horizons across a variety of interests. Mark Tetley, Deputy Head said, “Tilly and Serafina are both very talented and a credit to Carrdus. They have so much to offer and we are immensely proud of them, we can’t wait to hear what they achieve next when they move to Tudor Hall in September”.
